Paranoia, you mean.

Too many people here are paranoid out of fear of exploitation, which is not very sociopathic if you ask me.

Schizoids thrive on physical and emotional isolation. Schizoids LOVE night shift work because night shift is normally a skeleton crew. I can understand how a Schizoid working graveyard shift who would rather indulge their fantasy world online than actually do the work they were paid to do would seem to this forum 24/7.

As usual thrill, you're not getting it. If one perceives "their friend" to be non sociopathic, they are more likely to be candid.

There is a very predictable way they ask questions and then respond to the answers provided. Watch for it.

People with personality disorders are socially inept. The problem with personality disorders (even ASPD) is the defective persons behaviour is both inappropriate and predictable.

Borderlines constantly telegraph their condition. It is as though they are proud to be damaged goods.

Actually thinking about it, Silkthread reads very BPD too.

I'm supposed to be schizoid, yet I enjoy socializing. I have no real desire to isolate myself from the rest of the world (though sometimes I certainly feel like it) and I think it night work would be kinda boring.

The main reasons I got diagnosed with schizoid PD is because...

... I am a loner by choice. I see no value in forming relationships with others unless they're of use to me.

... I have very little interest in socializing in real life, but that's only because most people bore me. I'd rather socialize online where I can talk about my interests openly (online it doesn't matter as much if the topic isn't socially acceptable. There are also more similar-minded people to discuss my interests with) and because it's easier to skip all the small talk bullshit.

... I don't experience emotion very often, and when I do, it's shallow and short-lived. I also have no interest in emotionally connecting with others.

For those reasons, I've wondered if I'm truly schizoid at all.

I'm curious now, which traits of the condition do you think I have?

I don't understand how those traits are considered a personality disorder. To me, it seems like more of a lifestyle choice.

You can be both (or rather behave both ways). Besides, we are online, I said you read BPD not that you are BPD. There is a difference. Besides what a person describes about their own behaviour and interests, SPD will not show up online. A socially retarded person is not socially retarded in solitary situations. That is part of why a person becomes a Schizoid.

In the 'Delusion' thread started by Thrill Kill, Secret agent smiley is dead right about SPD in commenting on the Schizoids ability to believe and even behave as though they have a different disorder.

I think you know how I feel about "personality disorders," so I find it amusing that one person described you, me, and Kitten as SPD and another person described all three of us as BPD.

lol, That's bullshit. There is nothing that indicates schizoids act that way at all. Now you're just trolling.
