Redemption, I feel it's being overly complicated. Absence of Love causes problems. Love is the natural thing we are supposed to feel for others of our species. When thats taken away.. when a child doesn't feel loved by his parents.. that kid is going to face issues. Especially if they can't find love from another source.

Np, I'm all about finding the truth. I've spent a lifetime figuring out my own cycle of compulsions, and for a type that's supposed to be known for their rationality, intelligence, and social prowess, I have a hard time believing we can't figure out a solution for ourselves.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by love, but I will say that I think acceptance, and eventually finding others like yourself, is the key to understanding and finally being able to feel empathy (even if it is just a pang). I think for non-sociopathic people, they are genetically capable of feeling empathy whilst at the same time surrounded by others just like them. Easy, and encouraging, for them to feel good about their fellow man, when their fellow man is someone who's just like them.

For a sociopath, finding another sociopath is few and far in between. For a sociopath, there is a secret that must be kept hidden, from a very early age on, impulses that must be kept in check, an awareness, that you must control. These factors make us different from the majority of those around us, and isolates us from our environment. Having a bad rep doesn't help either.

Bring us to an environment where there's a majority of people like us, SW for example... and you have a lot less neurosis. If this is love for a sociopath, then I'd agree that love would lead to peace and happiness.

After all, even the worst of trolls have a place here.

Yet again, you don't know jackshit because you assume everyone with a label is the same. More importantly, why do you care and why do you want to fix them? I'm just thinking, if world-known scientists haven't figured out how to 'fix' a personality that doesn't feel the need to be 'fixed' anywhere reliably, why would you be able to?

Is it possible that sociopaths don't care because they don't know what they are missing? That is what ME said in the blog. She would like a longterm relationship.

 I'd say yes absolutely. If all you know about love is what others say about it. Never anything you FEEL or EXPERIENCE. Then yeah, it's hard to want that. and if you've never experienced it before. I'm sure it's even easier to write it off as "in your head", or idk.. the way some people look at love is fantasy. Love is just caring for others. This can be shown in an unimaginable amount of ways. When you feel good because you made someone else feel good. Thats Love.

 Thanks for this post, hmm, I don't say everyone with a label is same. But that everyone with a label can be healed the same. Say whatever you want. Make fun of me. But love. Love can fix all the worlds problems. Why do I care about sociopaths? Well honestly I'm starting to deny they exist at all. These "badasses" running around...are just weaker people.. who dunno how to deal with their problems.. because theyve never been loved.. never had a solid role model.. they don't trust... no one could ever satisfy them. Yet they act so strong... I will admit.. it annoys me to see a sociopath putting a strong mask on when I know they are weak. It's love that gives you strength. And the sociopaths around me..they don't scare me.. in fact they annoy me/ piss me off/ frustrate me/ make me feel depressed... Then I realized why they are doing it. Not cuz they are tough and can't help but hurt a few pussies along the way.. but because they are weak and need to pick on a few other weak(probably mentally weak to fall for sociopath bs) people to feel strong themselves. No sociopath comes near me.. They think I'm one possibly? truth is.. I don't need to wear a mask for jack shit. I do what I want when I want. If someone is pissed at me for something.. I'll tell the truth and deal with it, big fucking deal.

Thrill, now I REALLY feel bad for you. You're acting a bit desperate there. For someone who doesn't care what others think you're acting offended, no? why not go hurt some pussies instead of bothering wasting ur time on some dude called "The_Truth"?

 Our modern ideas of sociopathy weren't instilled until the mid 1950's-80's. In the past few decades, those world renown scientists have spent their time attempting to narrow down and define the traits of sociopathy/psychopathy, and attempting to distinguish between the two, instead of looking for a cure. They are focused on the symptoms of sociopathy, not the root cause.
