You're in a noisy low class area with high crime rate; traces of blood, vomit, urine, broken bottles, needles, and hair from an earlier fight between two bitches. Noisy fighting, music on high volume and the sound of things being smashed.

Are you cautious, frightened, repulsed, sad, happy, spiteful/schadenfreude, overwhelmed... Or anything else?

React: You've just pushed the heavy door open and entered the building. There is a man in the end of the stairs. He is bleeding from scratches, probably after a fight. He's unconsious in his own urine and vomit. How do you react? What do you do? Your goal is the apartment on the 8th floor. The elevator is stained with blood and vomit. Do you take the stairs or do you take the elevator anyway?

Why? What's your thought and how do you make the decision? You’re now on the 8th floor. How are you planning on getting what you want; with brute force, charm, or intimidation, a combination of different actions?

Okay! This sounds fun.

I need to go collect some product from my friend's apartment. I keep my head level but look a little toward the ground to avert eye contact with anyone. If I need to look up at my suroundings, I try to look past anyone near me, and I walk at my normal speed.

I see gross human liquids as I walk down a dark ally, and I hold my breath and try to walk as far away from them as possible. I make sure to exhale a little before I inhale just incase any molecules are around. I don't feel too scared, but I would certainly not walk down any dark allys with shady people in them.

I see the guy is hurt, and if he was awake, I'd likely ask him if he needs me to call the police. Since he's unconcious, I would likely step over him, and continue toward the elevator, and find that it is disgusting. I would take the stairs, but 8 floors is a long way, and they are likely to have lights out, and in this neighborhood, I wouldn't be surprised to see trash in them so I decide to hold my breath the entire way up as I take the elevator.

I'd knock on the door, and ask if he's got my stuff? He would invite me in and offer me a bowl which I would accept, and I'd ask him about his life, and offer thoughts on his problems. Then I'd pay him, and leave.

P.S. This is a fictional story.

He's unconsious in his own urine and vomit. How do you react? I remain emotionless. What do you do? I slip pass him. Your goal is the apartment on the 8th floor. The elevator is stained with blood and vomit. Do you take the stairs or do you take the elevator anyway? I take the stairs, The elevator is a closed environment that can only lead to problems.

I'm helping out an innocent man who's been framed for a murder. Both the police and some hired assassins are after him, so he's hiding in that building. He has some important documents that prove his innocence and also incriminate the real murderer. I have to make sure the documents reach a trustworthy friend in another town. So I'm in the shitty neighborhood, and I'm cautious and disgusted by the mess, but I've been in places like this before. I focus on my goal and on getting the job done as quickly as possible. I run up the stairs, since I don't want to get stuck in the elevator or too much blood on my shoes. The guy just opens the door and hands me the documents. I reassure him people have his back and are trying to help him. I mention the unconscious dude at the bottom of the stairs and ask if he knows anything about that. He says there was a fight earlier because a tough guy caught someone cheating with his girlfriend. I run down the stairs and try to wake up the dude. He slowly comes back to his senses. I offer him a ride to the nearest hospital, but he refuses and says he'll be fine. I leave.

I'm a serial killer who is being investigated by the police. I need to steal certain documents in order to obtain a new identity.

I'm naturally cautious and alert, but not afraid. I'm not feeling any emotion.

I've hunted and killed people in that kind of environment before, so I'm fairly neutral to it.

I notice the man briefly as I walk to the elevator. The elevator is old and dirty, but if it works, then may as well use it.

I use deception and charm to enter the 8th floor apartment, then immediately attack and kill whoever's inside once I've gained entry (with a silencer on my gun). I then search for the required documents while wearing protective gloves and leave as quickly and quietly as possible as soon as I've got what I came looking for.

Hey,

Fun topic let's see what I can make up.

I'm going to an apartment to fetch freshly made pancake. I don't really usually like pancakes that much but because they are self-baked I can appreciate the effort that has been put into them. Before all this started we had a discussion about pancakes with a friend of mine on the phone and I insisted she would make some for me, as I am not good enough a cook to make proper pancakes. I made some in elementary school.

As I go around the block into a noisy low class area I feel somewhat nostalgic. But then I realize it's not really nostalgia since I go there every couple of times a month anyway. I realize that whoever I find there is probably too busy with whatever they are doing to start anything with me. I might be a bit sad to see that the place is still the same if not worse. I notice the blood and vomit but I don't really pay attention to it because the sun is shining and before going there I remember my dog raising his paw, then his thumb and saying "carpe diem"

I hear noisy fighting and music on high volume and go take a look. I see a couple of kids playing music on the street and throwing bottles around out of boredom. It wasn't a fight after all. I go there, smile, and say "you kids have fun!" They reply "we sure will!" Then they resume torturing the youngest kid for being young and then Raimo, the old drunk, comes to beat up on the kids with a metal pole and brings equality. But I don't notice any of this.

Then I hear some more noisy fighting but its actually just two drunken bums who've both had a bad day and both have a bad life. I separate them and it's easy because they're not paying attention to me and both actually kind of want to stop fighting. A lot of people have gathered around and they're trying to figure out what's going on and I get support from a couple of people trying to reason with them. So for the sake of the story they go on their way and I can continue with my tripping. I mean trip.

So I reach the building and push open the heavy door and realize they haven't oiled the hinges. Luckily, I have some oil with me just for these kinds of situations. So I oil the hinges and try the door again and realize that now the door is very light. I look at what I've accomplished in awe and if someone entered there at that moment I would proudly tell him about what I did. Too bad nobody entered in this story.

I continue on and reach an unconscious man. And the stairs and elevator. I feel bad and my sense of responsibility tells me to call an ambulance. I explain that there's an unconscious man lying there and they should do something about it. They ask me if he responds to whatever I do so I try to wake him and then he wakes up. As it turns out, he was drunk last night and hit his head while going up the stairs. He's saying that he's ok but I get him to a doctor anyway.

So I go back to the place and look at the mess in the eleveator and think "Life's messy. Clean it up!" So I go around looking for a mop and what do you know, I find one. I spend the next half an hour or so cleaning up the place and one of the people living at the place looks at me and smiles as she walks past me. Before I do any of this I call my friend and apologize for being late and say it's a long story.

Now that both the elevator and the stairs are in tip-top shape but I just can't decide which one to take. So I go "ini mini miny moe.." and in the end I choose the stairs. I start going up the stairs backwars while mopping up the whole stairway to the eigth floor. I ring the bell and my friend opens the door. I say "Hi sorry for being so late I did a lot of things while getting here, you wouldn't believe it! I got your stairway and elevator cleaned, for one!"

I explain everything to her and then I listen to her tell about her day. She shows off the freshly baked pancakes she has prepared and I'm really grateful for it even though she doesn't have my favourite strawberry jam. Because I want to "leave with" the pancakes I say "okay I have to go now, my heroics are still needed elsewhere!"

: >

Sorry I just love happy stories.

I will collect a women that is hiding in the apartment, because I'm the cause of her hiding, and she stupidly ran to some friends for protection, but I will teach her.

My steps will be cautious to not step in any mess, I am repulsed by it all. I smirk because she's been living in this mess for a while, believing she was safe from me, making it all worth it. Bitch was wrong.

I'm taking out my knife and slit the throat of the man who wakes in a gargling noise. His eyes is filled with fear of death. I'm staying to watch him struggle for survival. I actually feel a little less angry about the bitch. I realize I didn't slit it hard enough and shrugs. It's really messy so I just leave it. I'll take the stairs, still cautious to not step in anything.

Knocking on the door I'll call her name. I know she is in there, probably dialing a number to either the police or the friends who's hiding her. Softly I'll ask her to open up, not making me to slam the door in or putting effort in picking the lock. The bitch knows what I'm capable of, and I can hear her closing in on the door taking her time to open it. I wait patiently for her to open. I push the door open, tear running down on her face.

Using my charm I comfort her. Too frighten to refuse me she lets me. Her damage mind lets me in once again, and I make her smile. She relaxes and ask for my forgiveness. I caress her softly before I hit her in the face, she's fucking bleeding all over the floor. She sobs and mumbles how sorry she is, all the excuses and apologizes, fucking tiring to hear. I kick her in the stomach asking her if she's fucking anyone. She claims she don't and I pull her up again and holds her. Telling her how sorry I am, and how it won't happen again if she just behaves. That she knows how angry I gets when disappointed. I ask her why she does this to me, but she is sobbing all over the place.

When I ask her to come with me, she does. Leaving a note for her friends not to worry any more. It's all cleared out. It was only a misunderstanding.
