I agree with edvard entirely on this. Luna, you shouldn't be forcing us to log in just to view chat. If we're not going to participate anyway, there is no point in logging in. So, why not allow us the freedom to have our privacy if that is what we prefer?

i want the people who use this site to be logged in so that you guys PM eachother and build relationships. i want to build the social bond within the community. not make this a place where people feel as if they are being observed like some sort of freak, and that's what is happening with the chat now.

so many users sit offline skimming the chat, and they intentionally avoid being shown as online. it does nothing to contribute to the community or relationships in any way.

People can make puppets just to read the chat.

If people don't want want to chat or PM, it's not because they're not forced to sign in. WTF Luna.
