Aspiring to be something greater starts with the steps to do so. I'll resurrect one of my posts on the old forum for you.
I have not mediated in a long time.
Difficulty is our measurement on tasks that we preform everyday. If that task is easy more prefer that task. If the task is Hard little to none venture to complete that task. The issue is, Difficulty is an illusion we have. No task is hard, it is simply the same as any other task.
You learn sound, then you venture to recognizing sounds as words. You then learn to form these words, yet have no concept on their meaning, and/or what it is. Then you learn it can mean something. You learn how to use these words together to mean something more then just one word. Sentences. You then learn the alphabet and so on, writing.
Now ask a uneducated man who has never spoken to write a paragraph on literature. Impossible correct?
It's within the same process we learn anything. It all builds upon the simple process of learning. If we want what is at point C we must complete points A and B. Yet no one has the time to complete A and B and then deem getting to C impossible, or hard. Showing those who want to say, learn guitar. They must first learn the strings. Then they must learn all the chord formations and then they can play guitar. Now someone who hasn't learned this will find it impossible to play a simple song.
I see frustration based off of (i will call it the ABC process) Abc process everyday. It all comes to the point that everyone is in a hurry to get C, they do not want A&B even though it is needed to have C. After they find they can't jump to C they give up on it. Because it is too Hard. So they don't bother getting A&B.
Knowledge builds on itself.
