by lisaI like androgenousness in people's looks.
As do I. Pink is a fine example of a sexy androgynous woman in my opinion.
by TurncoatYou may have control over the choices you make in life, but other factors strongly influence what choice will be made. There's very little we can do that isn't mostly predetermined by our past experiences and nature.
I agree with that, but I still believe, that as long as we're not behind bars, we have a certain amount of control in our own lives. We have free will.
by lisaAnd yes, I do agree with you all people do do a lot of projecting. I am not sure why that is but I think it's innocent.
I'm more the type that observes people and then points out what I've observed. That gets confused with projection when the person I've observed disagrees with my observation or doesn't want to accept the truth.
Sometimes I lie though and I'll tell someone something about themselves that I know isn't true, but will get a reaction from them.
Very little of what I tell people has anything at all to do with projection.
That is what I am asking. Can it come out subconsciously as a defense mechanism?
According to psych wiki: Psychological projection (or projection bias) can be defined as unconsciously assuming that others share the same or similar thoughts, beliefs, values, or positions on any given subject.
I know that it can happen with jealousy. I DO get jealous but it is when someone has something that threatens me.
For example, if an irritating airhead flirted with my BF, I wouldn't get jealous. She is not something I aspire to be. I am not an airhead.

It's been made very aware to me that most people do not think the same way I do. In fact, I could even go so far as to say that it's almost as though we are speaking different languages at times.
