How Do You Deal With Obsession/Addiction?

According to the psychologist it actually does have to do with sociopathy (AsPD), and my upbringing apparently. Since he's with the one the degree in psychology, I'll take his word over yours.

Why do you assume I haven't done extreme sports?

I've played all kinds of sports - basketball, soccer, tennis, squash, horseback riding, dirt bike riding, abseiling, rock climbing, martial arts and drag racing (though, I did that last one illegally).

I'm not sure what getting out of my country has to do with anything. I'm quite content to stay in my own country and travel around. I've already seen quite a few places here in Australia due to having lived in three different states, but there is still more I would like to see. That won't be happening until sometime after my daughter leaves home though.

A lot of those listed aren't extreme sports ffs. And how often do you practice them. They don't help with your boredom if you tried them once like 15 years ago, when your body still made practicing them possible.

Also, how can you not see why I mentioned traveling. New things to see and to do help with boredom.

I never said they were ALL extreme sports, nor did I indicate that I only tried them once. I've done those sports a lot more than once.

I might be older, but my body is quite capable of doing those same sports now, and I do still play some of them, just not as often as I used to.

As far as traveling goes... Unless you've already traveled your own country extensively, there's no reason to leave it to see new things. People come from all over the world to see this country. Why go to another country when everything I still want to see is right here.

"Why do to another country"? are you serious?

And " Unless you've already traveled your own country extensively, there's no reason to leave it to see new things."

WOW!

Ed is talking about your life being boring as fuck, and that being the cause of your weirdo obsessions with murder which you're not ballsey enough to actually do (which you don't want to do, and which you want to stop). It's well known that getting out of your normal setting, shaking up your work with new, fun and exciting things can stop you from being bored. And possibly help with those silly murder impulses. lol.

- Personally, I really can't take any adult seriously who hasn't bothered to travel the world. People really do live in completely different ways around the globe. There are benefits to all the different ways, and only seeing/experiencing it yourself can you really take that information and use it to make your own life better... Besides, experience is all we have in life, why would you even want to limit your experience to one island and one type of culture, and one type of thinking?... Fuck, no wonder you're bored. I think I'd be dreaming about killing some fucker in your situation too.

Hi Alter Ego/Evil Twin:

Yes, pick on TK so I can pick on you. the karma will cancel itself out and bring world peace.

As for limited world views, look at EMILY DICKINSON.

She spent the remainder of her life never stepping more than a "few yards" from her house and garden; yet her poetry, in its simplicity, reflected universal wisdom, cited like Shakespeare to express life's most profound mysteries. Using "simple parables" of nature inspired by her small garden. That was her "pallette", very limited, but she painted a broad picture of life, using small vignettes, that are treasured to this day.

How do you know TK isn't like the Emily Dickinson of Pop SW fantasy land?

Look at Turncoat's and Em's conversations with her. Those are deep, but expressed in simple accessible terms that any simpleminded idiot can understand.

Not that TK is one, of course, I didn't say that. That's your job, not mine!

I'm learning to be like Emily, a complete mindless puppet to irritate TK for the opposite reasons as you. Together, we will RULE in stereo, good dictator, bad dictator. Heil Luna!

Most people (including most people on this forum) don't have enough money to travel to other countries to explore new places. We are limited to what we can afford to do, and if all we can do is explore our own country, then why not?

Is there anyone here who can honestly say there are no new places left to explore in their own country? I bet there isn't.

If I could afford to go jet setting all over the world, I would, but since I can't. I can at least make the most of where I'm living.

Life can still be an adventure in your own country.
