Do I owe it all to an illness I don't even want?

Two reasons you're not a sociopath -

1) you view it as an illness

2) you don't even want it, which indicates fear of being a sociopath.

 

Do you think sociopaths fear the fact that they're sociopaths? I can tell you, with absolute certainty, they (we) do not.

Not as easy to lie in person. I don't think that me being stressed out about not being able to communicate with people correctly is odd, even for a sociopath. Im sure you value communication highly, as do I and right now my inability to relate on an emotional level and communicate openly is becoming a problem for me. Its not that I "dislike" the idea of being a sociopath I just don't understand what I'm supposed to do now? I feel as though I need to work on my public image (or mask), I've been having a hard time keeping it together ... I'm sure you hate losing control too.

I don't understand... You don't have to control anything. You don't HAVE to be a sociopath. Don't mistake what you would like to be versus what you are. You don't get to chose if you are a sociopath or not, otherwise you'll just fuck up yourself. If you want to explain yourself more into details without revealing yourself to everyone, you can e-mail me.

Yes, the picture is me. I don't feel anything, its hard to explain... and because I don't have empathetic feelings for people, I use them. I feel like I have to fake it through everyday life. Sure, Maybe I need a pen pal... cause this isn't exactly something you talk to your girlfriends about.

I've always found it to be pretty easy.

It's not that hard to pretend to care or fake emotion in order to communicate with others. I've been doing it all my life and it's never been stressful for me.

It confuses me that you're questioning what you're supposed to do now. It's almost as though you're telling me you woke up one day as a sociopath, and don't know how to deal with it. That just doesn't happen.
