I define conscience differently, without placing judgment on it.The conscience is like the neutral calculator, which decides based on 0 or 1, true or false, this over that choice.What is the key is how the conscience is programmed to make decisions.

So just because a certain sociopath may be designed or programmed to kill or whatever, does not mean the conscience doesn't exist. it means the conscience has karmic conditioning or programming that compels  such person to act on that karma.

A feeling that you must do something for someone.

No, I don't feel compelled to feed my daughter. I feed her because I choose to.

It's not a choice based on conscience.

She has to eat what I choose for her to eat or she goes hungry. If she chooses not to eat, then it's not my problem.

when i was young, my parents would tell me "you will not get up from this table until you finish your dinner!". so i'd end up sitting at the table for like 3 hours lol

My mother used to do the same when I was young. When I got older she stopped doing that. She finally realized that she couldn't control me anymore.
