For the shits and giggles? It's why we're all here, are we not?
My friends are the kind of people who never expect anything, and I don't really expect anything from them either. It makes it that much more enjoyable when someone actually does get something for someone else, as there were no prior expectations. I try to get something that reflects who I'm purchasing it for; It's usually cheaper and seems to have a larger impact.
Not really Christian, but an excuse for gifts isn't a bad thing. I can either gain influence by showing how well I know them when getting them something, or I get a chance to see how well someone else knows who I am.
Carols and TV Specials get old pretty quickly.
to spend christmas completely alone is a crappy option
fortunately many bars are also open on xmas and the people who go to bar on xmas r just like u- they hate xmas and the bar tenders will know this too
so there will be no xmas decorations or any thing to remind u of ur loneliness its just like any other night at the bar even better because the customers will try extra hard to make every 1 forget what time it is
so xmas is the perfect time to go to a bar if u have no other place to go spending it alone will only depress u
I don't like Christmas much either.
Last year I asked for money for christmas, but instead I got some stupid little phone book (a little book you store people's phone numbers in) from my sister, even though she knows I rarely use the phone and a small outdoor BBQ from my mother and her husband, even though they know I hate cooking.
Yep, christmas is just fucking wonderful...
The only real issue I have with xmas is the use of a religious icon and a consumer driven entity (santa) to constantly ram sales and consumerism down our throats.
I like getting presents....who doesnt like getting shit for free?.
And the chance to eat good food with good people is always a bonus......
