I don't necessarily hate Christmas, but I don't get caught up in it too much. At work it's added stress that I don't welcome, and I don't get why so many people are beginning to feel obligated to give everyone something. I hate getting Christmas cards. 

I hate how some people get you a gift and expect one back. They do it without asking. Then if you don't give one you are a 'bad person' and wah wah wah wah. I'm just getting cheap shit for everyone and passing it off as expensive. Its easy to do for most things.

I don't notice if anyone expects me to give back to them because they gave to me. My mother helped me develop a blindness for that kind of bullshit.

Christmas is a great time of year but like anything, life is what you make of it. You can be a follower or be followed. I suppose it depends on personality. One can choose to be a fucking bore, hating everything and everyone or you can lighten the fuck up and see opportunity everywhere we go. Ultimately, it's down to what we focus our attention on. 

I personally love this time of year. I don't get caught up in the whole rush. I just soak up the atmosphere but do it my way.

Mine raised me to believe I'm imperfect and I need to be perfect and a people pleaser to be happy. Figure there was some degree of narcissism involved as well as OCD.

I never saw the point.
