Traditional Libertarian
Conservatives believe in economic freedom, but social control, which his hypocritical.
Liberals believe in economic control, but social freedom, which is hypocritical.
Socialists believe that the control of economic resources is possible by government, in essence saying that the few can choose better than the many, which is absolutely stupid.
New-Age Libertarians believe that government should not step in anywhere, including in matters of pornography, abortion, etc.
I believe there is room for government, to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which is much more narrow than modern political philosophers think. There have been studies based on the aggregate of individual choices in determining an outcome against a "specialist" determining an outcome. It was found that a specialist cannot take into account every change to an economy, but individuals who communicate with each other can ascertain economic outcomes. The price system is the most efficient system, then, because it reveals preferences, which leads to optimal allocation of resources (See general equilibrium).
I may be a sociopath, but I recognize the efficiencies of a free market.
