Do socios get maternal?

TK seems to think children are a cash crop.

I am torn between the selfish want of raising a child that shares my genes versus not wanting to watch a kid go through similar horrors growing up that I did.

oh, so there si a sense of protecting it/them, and wanting the best for it/them, eh?

why do you think that it/they would go through the same horrors?

Babies are a good idea... in theory.

Practically speaking is quite another story.

There needs to be a point to it. Most people don't have a point.

how/why so?

i mean, babies are awesome, but taking care of them and raising them is a pain in the ass, if you're going to do it right. is that what you mean?

Also, people don't get that babies don't always have to come in human form.

Yes, pain in the ass, and pain in other places. I am very self-involved.

But I suppose having babies is a very self-involved endeavor when done right.

i get that. my question is basically does mother nature bite socios on the ass with the baby bit, as in making them maternal/paternal, or are you guys immune to it?

i'm normally cool w/ babies, i chill, but then you put one next to me and the maternal instinct gets triggered. it is not a rational thing at all, it's pure biology, i just wonder if the same thing happens to non-empaths. 

like, somebody hands you YOUR baby, your own flesh and blood, how do you feel? would you go - ew, or would you actually feel something? any experiences or thoughts on the subject?
