Firefox comes with its own proxy settings, you just need to enter the proxy address in the right place

Do you mean to set up a proxy?  Go into preferences, then click on the advanced tab.  Go to network and then click on Proxy Servers.  You can set up the proxy to use there.  When it's set up, open quick prefnces, and enable proxy servers.
