This is actually doing the opposite of what you would hope to accomplish. By avoiding men altogether you appear androphobic. Interacting with them and showing them that you are not weak but are an informed and smart individual regardless of sex would do more towards breaking gender stereotypes.
No this thread evolved in response to someone misquoting a comment I made to Emily in our conversation, it was deconstructed and analyzed incorrectly, I was trying to defend my quote in context of the thread.
The conversation was just TK, lisa, Emily and Hypercube but I knew this current thread would elicit criticism today which was predicted.
