I've been a member of many forums over the last 10 years and I've seen a lot of them crumble and die, and I've seen a few that have stood against the test of time and remained somewhat lively.

the 1st problem is people who think pointless rules are what this forum needs- always the root of the problems

how to fix

belittle and make fun of people like this- make funny threads about them

activity goes thru the roof until the forum police is driven out of the forum problem solved
