So nothing and no one has any value of any kind, unless it is of direct use to you, right? As in scientists discovering whatever amazing thing, unless it is for your own personal, direct use and gain it has no value?
That sounds very self-centered and child-like... Sort of limited in scope. That's really interesting! Thanks for sharing this! Seriously! Good and interesting stuff.
Yes, that is correct. self-centered? well obviously i am, you are aware of what kind of forum this is? Childlike? I use people to get what i need, very easily. Once someone is of no use to me, they are dead weight. As for science, i am fascinated by psychology, and the riddles of the universe. Interest vs care are two very different things. I would say its childish not to use people for your own benefit. What am i supposed to feel happy and love people, in order to get what i need? You have a very limited scope, i assume your conscience and intelligence holds you back. If not conscience then you are a liar, and there is no point in lying here.
hey, i didn't mean it as an insult in any way, i meant it as a comparison. you know how kids think that the world revolves around them and can only account for their own needs and desires and are sort of disinterested or clueless about the rest of the world? well, clearly, you are not a kid, and this is not a children's playground, but i was wondering if that is somewhat how your perception is? it sort of sounds that way, but i'm sure that it is not as limited as a child's. i can totally see how this question can seem offensive, but i didn't mean it like that, i was just curious and trying to draw a parallel to understand it better.
all of this and the previous post came without any judgment or provocation. i was interested in how you view things, you shared that insight with me, and i am grateful. that's that.
