Could just quote the old threads to show them how it's redundant (yay search function). Talking here's great for having a learning curve based on individual subtexts as opposed to suggested guidelines, and giving them a guide sets a tone instead of just lets the place be what it is. What would be next, a rules sticky, because we find certain posters more annoying than others?
Was there really a time topics here were of high quality, beyond a few? Plenty of visitors see these silly threads and still make a topic about themselves.
I sort of like this place for it's strange, almost raw approach. Stickies set a tone, which in a sense could instill an unspoken sense of censorship.
I've also considering starting something on my own which would be more geared towards those empathy types that aren't looking for consolation after an encounter but more for insight or understanding.
There are no rules for this forum so no, there wouldn't be a rules sticky. Finding certain posters more annoying than others really doesn't have anything to do with creating a point of reference for people on the site. This is simply to create a better starting off point. This could even be a small link to the side.
There has been an increasingly large amount of puppet/troll threads lately. Not saying that's all there is here but there are more.
