These attempts to organize things on sw are cute.

Every empy that comes here with a zomg socio post is STILL going to want to explain and or bitch about their own situation anyway (kinda like you did :D). It's impossible that they stay quiet just because they have a compilation, most just want to get stuff off their chests or just like to talk about the speshul socio that changed their lives.

 Yes, I wish there was some way to have a separate section for such posts grouped together.

Even just a bar dividing the screen where messages for "help me / need advice" are down below grouped together.

Usmessageboard and other forums separate religion from politics, etc., so these are not run together. But I don't like having to click twice to open that up; the messages can still be visible, just "moderated" to group them in a box. 

I wouldn't make more than 3: maybe 1 section at the bottom for long serious messages where people can spell out and spill it all without interruption. And maybe 1 index or something off to the side for FAQ or who's who/what's what.

There are multiple audiences for this forum and the group fluctuates continually. One person looking for information or advice will not get the same responses as, say, I did. To be clear, I consider myself very fortunate in the feedback I received. Prior to posting I read through all the pages and couldn't find what I was looking for or what applied to my situation. There wasn't a search function then so it was even more frustrating because most threads here just seem to always derail. Getting the most applicable parts of any topic can be challenging to say the least.

I'm not suggesting that they would or should stay quiet. You can see as well as I that there are anonymous users here all the time. Some will never post but they are visiting all the same. Having some sort of reference could only be beneficial.

Luna has made it clear that she wants to grow the site. If this gives empy-minded people that aren't Lovefraud material a place to get information without the bullshit or victim coddling then that's more traffic.

 If we begin adding sections, we will have to add moderation or people will post in the wrong sections and defeat their purpose.

 A sticky feature isn't the same as a section. A section would be a subforum whereas a sticky would always be near the top. Why would a post that is always on the front page require moderation?

I will agree with Ana on this. Not everyone is just looking for a place to vent, many are, true, but not all. I didn't. Some just want insight and answers. 

I was thinking of this myself Ana, and I think that it's a great idea. It will save time and effort on both sides. Good thinking gurrrl! ;)

We could have an introduction thread for new members stickied at the top, with added questions as to why they're here etc. I'd like to create the intro thread if Luna is willing to sticky it.

 I'm going to bump this, maybe Michael will see it and weigh in as well since he's over this forum too.

The "zomg socio" threads also serve as introductions that let us know small details about them, like how they write and think. Some fun things can come out on occasion, if not at least fun changes in topic.

If the sticky got above a certain size, it may intimidate new users instead of help them.
