Conscience

I'm not sure what is my conscience really, and what is just my inner moral values. There is a bit of a difference there.

How would you define your conscience separately from your moral values?

According to the dictionary definition (below), they appear to be one and the same, indicating that your conscience is your moral compass so to speak.

Conscience - a person's moral sense of right and wrong, viewed as acting as a guide to one's behaviour.

Still, morals are thought through and conscience has a stronger emotional component. All morals are not based on conscience. If I didn't have morals I'd go do all kinds of crazy stuff since I don't have a particularly strong conscience.

If there were no laws, and therefore, no legal consequences to your actions, would you still have morals? If yes, why?

Yea I would. If that happened I would only hurt those deserving it. I wouldn't go around hurting random people.

Why would it matter who you kill?

Morals are subjective. For me there is a difference.

I wouldn't hurt pets, I wouldn't kill my friends and I would not molest anyone. Also I would not betray or lie to myself.

Most people, me including, do horrible things every day by buying and eating meat that has been animals pretty extremely abused, drink coffee or eat chocolate where child slave labor is common, buy items that are made in terrible sweat shops... and so on. This empaths do on a regular basis without thinking twice. They/we contribute to abusing the poor, children, animals and the planet itself. For some reason that is OK. As long as you don't do it with your own hands. A very peculiar view, I might say.

This is such stupid bullshit. I don't get these animal rights protectors who refuse to eat meat because the bloody chickens didn't have a happy life. The chicken is already fucking dead, whether you eat it or not it still was pretty sad during its life. You might as well eat it. It's pointless to protest by not eating it, there's no way people all over the world would stop eating chicken because of sad chickens.

The consumers shouldn't be blamed for anything, we are meat eaters, our monkey ancestors were meat eaters, we eat meat. Want to blame someone, blame only the people who don't make the meat happy during its life.

Then you think like most people, people who believe they have morals.

How far would you go, if you knew the product you want to buy costs a lot of human lives, you'd still buy it?

Costs or cost? There's a difference. Koh-i-Noor has a pretty bloody history, and I wouldn't mind owning it. :D

If the ppl were already dead and that thing was precious, yeah I'd buy it.
