 I felt a sense of urgency also. If the pictures of human victims had involved some sort of proof of torture or suffering I would have felt the same only I assume a bit magnified since I can identify with human suffering more than an animal.

Since I'm more animal than human I identify more with the animals. Still, I AM human or I would not have compassion with animals, animals usually only have compassion about their own. 

 That sounds very illogical. I fail to see how you could have a high IQ.

So, if dogs only truly care about their own kind, what does that say about humans? (Humans, being less compassionate largely) Who is to say you are not animal and human? At the end of the day, we are all still merely animals.

 How do you see yourself as more animal than human? Does this have to do with primal behavior or something else?

I follow my feelings even if they are not rational at first glance. Sometimes I find out later how they all come together in a logical way.

For instance, primates and humans look each other in the eye as a sign of peace and belonging. Other mammals look each other in the eye as a sign of aggression. I do that too. I have brief eye contact with people for the sakes of their comfort, but when I look into their eyes, the aggression program is triggered.

Also I'm nocturnal.

And I use pee to mark my territory... no wait, I don't do that.

animals usually only have compassion about their own. 

Isn't compassion similar to empathy? How can you possibly know if an animal is feeling compassion?

Animals are emotion driven. When they do something compassionate, they feel compassion. 

 why was there a ornage light on this?
