I want to be burned instead of buried, and have my ashes scattered in a storm by this one lake.
If I died today I'd expect a small funeral. Family, closest friends, probably a few acquaintances and family friends.
If I could say anything I'd say bye and also <3 but the <3 wouldn't be with words.
My brother is buried. I never visit. Don't see the point because when I close my eyes, I can see him here. Just like old times. This physical body we inhabit is merely a shell and I may have more, who knows. Don't care. Coming from a bloodline of Swedish sailors, I would ideally like to be burned at sea or my ashes scattered out there. But it's not up to me. If my family would find my passing easier by visiting my grave, then buried it is. I couldn't give a fuck.
I have had quite a few family members die. Some I was very close to. I don't visit graves for the same reason I don't go to church.
I prefer to be good to people for my own reasons. Not because of God or death.
I would like it if people had a huge party and got shitfaced and had a great time. Hopefully said nice things about me. Then I would let my family and loved ones decide what to do with my body.
by wilfulWhat would you have carved on your tombstone?
Free at last from the chains of life
Unfold your black wings and take flight
Child of the night, may the darkness
Keep you safe
You will rule with the Devil in Hell
Over all the demons
Until your rebirth, may you rot in peace
Would you expect a large funeral or perhaps nothing at all?
I don't care for a funeral. There's only one person who'll miss me when I die anyway, and that's my daughter. Assuming she's still alive by then.
If you could get up and say something (I know it is farfetched), what would you say?
I'll see you in hell, baby.
"What would you have carved on your tombstone?"
"All the treasure you deserve
lies beneath the dirt before you."
An empty coffin in the dirt dug abnormally far into the ground would make that perfect, or maybe have the corpse be spring loaded to jump out if the coffin were to be pried open.
"Would you expect a large funeral or perhaps nothing at all?"
I don't expect much, but if I could see it, I'm sure I'd be pleasantly surprised.
"If you could get up and say something (I know it is farfetched), what would you say?"
"RUN! FLEE! Zombies, they're REAL! The dead rise... THE DEAD RIIIIISE!"
I'd prefer for it to be in an exagerated spooky voice, but I'd understand if that weren't the case.
