This is a great artical about japan depopulating! What do you guys think? Will it collapse?

It's too difficult to know what will happen over there. It's blurry, but I remember reading how Japanese guys settle for porn too much and on a wide scale they are too chicken to pick up women. I think some of it has to do with finding privicy there. They have apartments that are the size of closets and the units are all huddled together.
Over all I think it's nature taking it's course. Nippon is very congested. There will come a time when their decline will cease. It's pretty scarry to think how many Japanese people might be left when their population is on the rise again.
Before their economy collapses, I think Japan will finally allow the world to move in and get their citizenship there. Now they don't allow that, and unless it's business related, one can stay there for the duration of that venture. As a nation, they don't have much time.
Maybe when it's over, they won't be what they are now, but life will go on. I think we'll still see the PS9, and Toyota will still rule the automotive market, even if the Japanese population got slashed.

I don't think they will. Japan's very ethnocentric and I sincerely hope they don't decide to chaneg their restrictive policies. That would corrupt their culture.

On the contrary, modern Japanese culture is already influenced by the west. They pride themselves on import making it their own. They has unsusal inventions, though the best of what comes out of Japan on a technological level, is an innovation, or reinvention of what has already been done in other places.
By a landslide, Japanese youth dream of going to the USA, due to Japan's westernised pop culture. In other nations that allow diversity to florish, there has not been a problem with old traditions going up in smoke, though in Japan some older generations dislike where their youth is headed, by example becoming more diverse does not exactly spell the end for old traditions.
All cultures change by influence.

You don't understand the depth of the topic. If you ask me, it's better for Japan to become a diverse nation, than to allow themselves to go extinct.
But whatever, forget their declining crisis and follow hopes and wishes, in time Japan will evolve into a world of Ghost cities, and the rest of the world will decided what to do with it. Maybe they will fight over it.
