Showing your true colours

Hello everyone,

I love being alone, but having no one to share my true self with can get a bit lonely if you catch my drift. Of course there are these kinds of forums but I'd like to have someone to talk to in real life, preferably a neurotypical. I know what I am capable of and I don't want the things I tell to be used as ammunition.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with telling your empath friends/family who you truly are? How do people react?

Thanks in advance,

another sociopath.

Fine then. I thought I might find some help here but I guess I'll figure it out on my own. Thanks.

What kind of help are you after?

I'm not sure. I've always been different and have never had anyone to really talk to. Since a while I've known that I'm a sociopath and I find it hard to cope with it. I'm sorry if I came off as a wannabe or something, I've never talked about this before.

you found the right place. make a thread explaining your thoughts, and you are sure to get a couple good responses.

I don't tell anyone in real life who I am. Though, I'm not entirely sure I even know who I am anymore.

I live in the moment. I am whoever I need to be in that moment.

I advise against coming out as a psychopath to your family and friends. At least not at first. If you would like I wouldn't mind sharing some ways that have helped me to cope.
