A game of survival based on the people here. Nice.
Wonder who won't make it to see the end~
Edit: Have you decided what you're surviving?
by SilkthreadKeep in mind this is the rough draft...
Dearest Silkthread,I am delighted to inform you that you have been chosen to participate at our very first annual meet up for Smoke and Mirrors.
You will need to arrive in 3 weeks time in order to group with those most likely to ensure your survival. Unfortunately
you will not be given a map to find the location- you will not find airline tickets, a resort package complete with door key, or a phone number
to ring the tour guide with; in this box. The game of survival begins now. Inside this box you will find the clues to help you locate your destination, one pre-
paid Visa card, to help you fund your trip (use it wisely), and worksheet to complete on your journey. You must have this worksheet completed should you
make it to your destination, or you will be held back from grouping by two days. On the event that you are unable to find this secret location within the
time allocated, you will be dead when the month has come to an end. Good luck to you, Silk. I'll be anxiously awaiting your arrival, and have every
confidence that you will make it there on time.
Perhaps you already have this in mind, but I immediately thought of one sinister character out of this chat forum finding information on other members. He/she sends out messages/packages to each/specific member(s) in order to get them to one location (perhaps they will not know who the others are and/or why they are there once they arrive, or maybe they do)..
Another possibility would be one sinister online member gaining the information and doing this to only one or two of the members. You need to cook up a believable reason for why the main character does not call police versus following the orders (unless I misunderstood this dead in a month thing, is that like terminal illness? I took it as you would be killed)....
I personally enjoy those psychological thriller flicks/stories where head games are played with persons in a specific social setting such as a deserted island/small room/etc...in short, to test what they are really made of when faced with capture, submission, and/or the surety of death if not killing another to save their own life....
perhaps make that worksheet sign off idea be a setup to frame the main character for all of the bad things done to the rest of the participants...that held back from grouping for two days makes me believe you might have thought of this before (to ensure its done as planned)..
sorry for my random word vomiting...ill dream up some more later
