Why so loathe to appear arrogant?
Everyone judges others. It's an important aspect to every human being to be able to recognize who they are dealing with. Judging others based on steriotypes doesn't work, usually we base our judgement calls on what others have done. Judging is not always bad, it can build fondness for the subject, and it assists in choosing the right person for the job. For those who worry about being Judged, I will not shit you, but they in most cases.... need to sharpen up, this doesn't mean every judgement call on then leads to some undesirable sentance. Without Judging others, there will be no changing minds about others, something we're all guilty of.
I think a distinction should be made between "judging people personally" and
judging the consistency or flaws in their judgment, perception or information.
Most negative reactions are caused by the ill will in projecting judgment on people.
Most situations can be diffused if it is clear that both people seek to correct themselves equally as the other, and are helping each other mutually, not one way.
