by Buttered Toast...I do wonder if a majority of the psychological tests I've gone through here and there were not very indicative for sociopathy or psychopathy because I have enough impulse control. I am not a thrill-seeker, or even violent, to that extent. However, in most every other way, I identify with sociopathy.
In my opinion, the core traits of sociopathy are reduced fear and empathy (or lack thereof), lack of guilt and remorse and the inability to feel genuine love.
With that said, you can still care about people for selfish reasons, and I don't mean because they make you feel good on an emotional level. I mean, because they provide some form of sexual and/or financial benefit that you would possibly lose if you didn't protect what is providing it.
