Who is this guy? If he is a sock (most likely) he got the hang of sounding new. I'll give him that. I mean who bitches about how to write time? (Us oldies know that the rest of the world is too stupid to know that 20:00 is 8 PM...)

Anyway, my work story is kind of different. I never came up with anything to do to my boss. I was supposed to be back at work 1 September and I haven't heard anything. Not one word. It's strange behavior of me just not showing up, but almost stranger for her not to call me. You'd wonder where your employees are, right?

I wouldn't. I would make arrangements for one whole month, distribuiting your tasks for other employees. If you never showed up, your things would be collected into a box and the paperwork would be ready. If you don't show up and don't call, I assume you don't care so why should I? All I could say is goodbye

You can't be much of an employee if your boss isn't concerned about your absence.

Years ago, when I was working on a property, I was supposed to be at work by 5am. I'd stayed up most of the night before getting drunk and smoking weed and, as a result, I slept in. My boss came to my house that morning banging on the door, wondering where the hell I was.

I was still pretty stoned when I finally got up and went to work.

My boss could have fired me, but he didn't. I ended up quitting a few months later when I decided to move away.

Well, as a part timer, probably not. But I was the only person not yapping about her behind her back or sabotaging work. She thought she had an ally in me. But her personality type is so destructive they don't care about those things, she'd rather have her head chopped off than be nice to another person.

I didn't say it's not weird... it's VERY weird and unusual. If it happened to a friend of mine, I'd be playing detective to find out what happened. But when you're in charge of a team, you can't be begging people to work for you. The people are either part of the team or not.

Yes, legally I'd have to wait a whole month but I'd do it anyways. One month is enough for the person to decide if they want to go back to work or not.

Now, sure, I'd call once or twice, maybe leave some message or email... but I wouldn't sweat much
