i am willing to trust people, i just calculate very closely the amount of financial liability that trust is, and i don't allow that amount to go higher than the amount i feel the person i'm trusting values our relationship.

I mean you don't trust people in a society, do you?

It looks like you say: "everyone else is stupid and too self absorbed to see the big picture I see." But you're completely disregarding the fact that your present view on society is distorted by your position in it, and yet you claim that others are stupid for letting the same thing happen to them.

 It is not necessarily the creative and smart people who succeed in society. It is the ones with the connections, the family, the ability to suck everyone's toes and bend their words in the right way. Meanwhile the honest and hardworking people are crawling their way in the society supporting the motherfuckers born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

there aren't enough people in society that are willing to look at the world around them and see their place within, and realize they are doing absolutely nothing. i blame this craziness on the TV.

haha, you want to blame social mobility? you know, the difference between the farmer and the go getter business person? the farmer says "gee, I'm just a farmer, I don't know nothing about that". The business person says "I'm an expert", and then.. out of neccessity, they go make thesmelves experts. 

it's about confidence. the people at the bottom of the ladder complain and moan instead of just going out and trying.

we live in a very service based economy, if someone decides to join that industry, they need to pick a hobby and learn it, and then effectively sell their service. it's not that hard a sell...

Really? I don't watch TV and I don't give a fuck about my so-called place in the world, just as long as I'm having a good fucking time. I'm not a stoner though, so I don't like to get high off of being pretentious.

I don't think you know how many people are mindfull about their excistence, yet I still stand by the fact that I think you underestimate the amount.

Little tip, you might want to re-read this thread some time when your mind is clearer. Some of the stuff that's been said wasn't about your statements, but the mental state you were in when you posted them. If you look at the comments you might actually see the stuff you say here from a different perspective.

 you would be surprised. when i talk about web development, i'm an expert. i just avoid that topic here because it doesn't come up much does it? not many people are interested in my job, and i perfectly understand that.
