Reminds me of the Facebook model. Will the chat window be condensable in case a user doesn't feel like talking to people? Will there be a friends list setup, or will we have every user we could chat to listed?

Will it use the current system to show who is and isn't online, as otherwise me browsing Reddit could make it look like I left.

all these questions you regarding features exist... they can exist if you tell me what you want. you guys say what you want the program to do, and then i'll magicly make it happen

 yes, the chat window will certainly be condensible. for screens that are too small, it will collapse automaticly. also, from the sociopath world window, it will be collapsed since that window is so small.

we can impliment a friends list if you guys would like that instead of being avaialble for anyone to message you. i think the forum should tell me more what they want on this! personally, i like the idea of friends lists.

the current system is based on if you have pressed a button within the last 3 minutes. so yeah, if you browse reddit for longer than 3 min, when you come back, you will not be online. that beign said, we could consider revamping this system and finding a better solution. i actually think this is something that will eventully be improved just for quality.

The friends list idea is a good one, as a way to store regular contacts. There would have to be a feature that allows you to block (and unblock) certain members from being able to private message you as well, if required.

I think there should be an option as to whether you're willing to allow anyone to contact you or not. Personally, I think it would be annoying if you have to be on someone's friends list just to be able to chat with them privately.

I like the idea, but I really think puppets would spam the crap out of a public chat. 

 i think it could work. sure, occasionally a troll will go crazy and decide to dedicate a day of his life to spamming... but, you know, i don't think that will happen everyday. we will make it difficult to spam as well.
