Train going down the track

I can't understand why someone wouldn't push the fat guy. There is no logical basis for resisting such a pretty clear decision in my eyes.  Baffling.

Also, if reincarnation were true, the fat guy gets to start over.  His obesity and poor choices and difficulties would be over.  He would be able to absolve some of his tragedies by turning it all into a moment of usefulness and purpose.

uhm, not quite

We reincarnate not to have fun but to learn. We set our own challenges before we come here. Our defects and flaws represent exactly what we have to change, deep inside our souls. If he's a fat man, he chose to be like that before he was even born, so that he would have the challenge of reeducating himself, learning discipline, self control and many things you need in order to be in proper shape

If he loses his current body, he'll have to go through a whole process again and that's a burden. If I cause his death it won't be good for me - karma - so I avoid it.

I won't go any further, this is Buddhism (and some spiritism, as in Allan Kardec) and not my opinions, although I totally agree with them

One thing to learn over time, with each new time, is how to turn learning into fun.  Then we can indeed come here to have fun.  What else do you want with your eternity?  There is no regression and the worst that can happen is delay.  There is no karma, there is evolution.

I love learning, more than most things in my life. I was just makig a point, that life's not just to be lived, it's evolution itself. We reencarnate to evolve, not just because

I agree.  Sometimes I wonder at the motivations for the creation of the whole system.  It seems like self-imposed restraints, making things arbitrary.  Whomever or whatever set the rules...  Why set them at all?  Ultimately, I think it is just a game to make eternity bearable for whatever primal consciousness set the whole thing in motion.  All our morals and physics are just parameters to the game, and consciousness plays along and can convince itself it is important and real, as part of the rules.

yeah man this has been bugging me lately....

"consciousness plays along and can convince itself it is important and real, as part of the rules"

Another method of control....

I've been writing and erasing for the last 5 minutes.... funny, I can't seem to have only one ideia.. everything I write, there's another point of view to that and then another and another...

"self-imposed restraints"

What if I could have killed that man I wanted to kill but didn't because of a self-imposed restraint? Do I really need to restrain myself?

What, is that not fun for you?

it is, but it's very confusing. I do that with all things, I collect as many points of view as possible, but I'm talking about my own self. The very person I am. Understanding me a having sociopathic behavior opens so many doors, it's almost scary and so something I write just don't seem... right. I write but I don't relate to them. It's weird and hard to explain

Why is it confusing to have more than one perspective related to yourself?
