How old are you? I've already asked but you didn't answer. 

Why?

 I would date one, but I'd never take him seriously and I'd never have children with one.

I'm curious if your age is the reason for your immaturity or if it's strictly the BPD.

How did you know from the get go that he wasn't normal?  Don't they generally pretend to be "normal" and totally into you in order to trap you?  Sorry if this was all discussed already.  I take it you've not yet been crushed by one?

 Probably both.  I'm really messed up but nobody expects me not to be.

What do you think maturity is and why do you say I'm not?  You don't have to answer if you think I'm being stupid, but I really would like to know.

 He does pretend to be more normal, but I knew he wasn't before we hooked up.  He started telling me things, and I could read into most of his behavior once I got to know him.

We aren't really compatible for anything serious, but he never lied to me and never promised me anything.

 Answer my question and again, stop with the self loathing. It's counterproductive.You really have no reason for all this pity given the fact that you are avoiding any true destruction by this person. Are you just feeling sorry for yourself because you're in love with him?
