...It's been noted before that M.E.'s desire to remain anonymous was very thin. As we can see, if any of these revelations are true, it doesn't take much effort. However, I've never cared enough. It just seemed like a somewhat cheap excuse to generate interest or so-called controversy or mystery. I can understand in a practical sense to keep from exposing one's identity when making a book like she did, but can it really be that dangerous or damaging once revealed?
So she gets exposed. Then what? Well, in that regard people may flock to her book and read it, thus self-generating market value. Even if she is able to deflect the concern, she ends up with more attention, while still keeping her job. I really see nothing of serious consequence to M.E., but who knows?
