I used to believe in astrology, enough to do natal charts and readings for around four years or so. I don't consider it more than interesting fluff information, now. The only time astrology remotely helped me was when I guessed a girl's sign and got it correct and then proceeded to have other interesting things to do with each other.
Astrology is completely bogus if one tries to sound "scientific" about it, with "energies" and celestial movements and so forth. It's a made-up, superstitious system that may have helped form some interest toward psychology and so on. It's too subjective an assumption to be given such a blatant disguise of being an objective tool.
However, if one considers reincarnation, and that reincarnation is a chosen/assigned affair, then perhaps it isn't so strange that incarnations and their births help categorize types and then give those to spirits which wish to be like that. Give the chatty types an incarnation a Gemini birthday. Give the intuitive types an incarnation a Pisces birthday, etc. Kinda like some of the Sims games used to have when making a toon. However, this generally disbelieved idea provides the most believable scenario for astrology to have any relevance whatsoever.
