by TurncoatIt does seem to vaguely resemble a Yahoo Answers approach at humor.
I have a dry sense of humor; I was being a bit tongue in cheek with the title of the post. Other than that, I was in earnest. I don't like Yahoo answers.
by TomYou lost other animals to vaccine preventable diseases?
No, I have lost other animals due to lymphoma (some practioners think this is caused by over-vaccination) and one cat was over-sedated and died. I aslo had a husband who had a benign biopsy, but that radiated him (over-radiated, in my opinon) "just in case", and he, too, died. :-(
Come on now, it's not like every medical practitioner is an Angel of Mercy.

No, I think in the case of my husband and my pets, they were all too enthralled by big pharmaceutical interests (indeed, they were schooled to be). I belive they meant no harm, but were dangerous nonetheless.
My mother had to get a valve replacement for her heart. As such, she needs to take a certain blood de-clotter type med. Some time later, during a doctor's visit (check-up), the doctor brought a drug that had recently came out that would reduce the frequency of a dose needed to do what her then-present drug required. So, it all sounded like some good news. Yay, medicine, right? About a month or so later, she became weaker and weaker until she had to be taken in. Turns out she had developed a clot by her artificial valve and probably would have died if she had waited even a day or two later than she had gone in. The particularly fucked up thing in the story is that the papers and documented information, which were available to the doctor at the time, explicitly said no work had been officially done to see its effect on artificial valve implants. Specifically, it said NOT RECOMMENDED...and so forth. It was like he was going to use her as further case study toward the drug. Fuck was I angry. No real resolution yet to have that doctor revaluated, so far. I would like to have him suspended for some time, at the very least. But it's in Canada, so...seems to be somewhat different approach here.

I am sorry to hear this. Terrible, and very parallel to what happened to my husband (gave him a type of radiation which was contraindicated for his condition, and even known to worsen it). I too thought of supsensions and even huge litigation, but the American (i know you are in Canada but it may be the same) Medical Association covers its tracks too well. Yeah, fuck doctors.....for sure.
by Buttered ToastI'm Canadian-born, US resident. Basically a dual-citizenship. Truth be told, it has given me some interesting perspective with respect to the two countries. I would love to cherry-pick qualities of each and make a Super America. Oh wait...
Interesting. And , yep ;-)
