I, on the other hand, have never been caught.
I've committed theft, vandalism, fraud, intellectual property damage, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder, and that's only the ones I'm willing to mention.
I was caught for arson and theft only. I was let off with basically a slap on the wrist as I was under 18 at the time.
Things I haven't been caught for....well that list is a bit longer....
attempted murder...child abuse (multiple victime and over a year)...grand theft...fraud...
It is odd that this business of criminality comes up. The author herself believes sociopaths are often not given to crimes, or at least not the ones which lead to jail time, which she views as pathos in general rather than sociopathology in particular.
Becuase I foolishly signed onto this forum using my real name, I cannot divulge the criminality which runs through my family (actual crimes, which went undetected by law enforcement, but would have had quite serious consequences for said family members; all of whom are professionals and very respectably middle class-- but all of this is in the past ). I suppose it is part of my narcissim to always use my real name on any kind of forum (or perhaps my honesty and transparency?)---However, I am now restricted in what I can or cannot say/disclose. I myself have never been given to any criminality, except a DUI when I was 24. Nothing else. I am actually both very law abiding and very given to Kantian morality.
What exactly do you mean by abuse of a child? And multiple victims? How many? And over a year? Do you mean the crimes took place within a year long period?
