ANd can you share it as you have it? Perhaps the computer savvy people here could help you restore it.
What about all the sensative data it has about you guys? That data has usernames, passwords, emails, IP addresses, and who knows what else.
The main problem with the nabble forum database is they used a custom written javascript program to save the contents. For us to successfully upload it, we'd need to get that program to work. There's little documentation on how to do it and little troubleshooting info because assumptions were made about the user's knowledge of the program. Pretty much only people skilled with that db type... postgres? I forget the name.. and java applications. If we knew both, it'd be easily done.
So basicly.. we need to dedicate a week to this to get it to work.

Ok, don't share it please.
And IPs?! I thought the nabble forum didn't store IPs either. So each post made there has an IP attached or something? And are there all the fucking passwords and emails a user has used, or only the most recent ones? Because I changed them a couple of times.

If you on the fourms from home, most likely your provider has you using a dynamic IP address which changes often. Some IP address pools are so large that the chances are, you never get the same address twice. The IP might tie you to a city in country (x) but the actual circuit to your home, only your provider will have that, if in fact your ISP keeps records at all.
If you on the fourms from work, chances are all computers are hidden behind a global IP address.
Either way I would not be too bothered about it.
Oh, the IP would only tie my to my city. What a fucking relief.
I've used proxies 99% of the time even on the old forum, and also TOR, but I think there have been a few posts I didn't use a proxy/TOR for. I'm pretty sure someone said not even the nabble admin had access to IPs, but nevertheless, I wouldn't want whatever is in that data to be scrutinized by God knows who.
