I never really understood fetishizing humiliation, at least fully. I fetishize power pretty strongly, and being humiliated can make them seem that much more powerful, but without seeing their power and witnessing the presence it brings, it seems empty.

 It's a mind game. The person has to get into your head and know what you're scared of or what you truly dislike in order to use it against you. As someone once told me, it has to be true enough so that you believe it even if the person saying it doesn't mean it. Idk, I'm still fighting myself on whether I like it or not.

Well yeah, getting in your head is doing a power play, which can be hot if it's done right, but don't those have to be very specific and targetted to the point it's almost surgical?

No, not setting the bar too high and you're exactly right. If it's not surgical and precise then it won't be effective and won't hurt. It's still confusing though so I'm probably not explaining this well.
