It's all about reaching higher extremes.  Since I've never really gotten into s/m, it would be more intense.  Vanilla anything(except ice cream) will never satsify me.  I'll always want to push it.

And yeah, I love to push it. It took everything for me to not go batshit when my instructor kept  chiding me to "take it slow", and reassuring me so that "I wouldn't get scared". He handled me with kid gloves and pushed my husband to his limits- and I know it's because I'm a woman trying out a very male-dominated "extreme" sport. I know he was just trying to be nice, but it made me want to kick him. :p
