Yes I do, but I can't do anything about the way I am. I look at it objectively, and I try not to say narccistic things too much. I try not to involve any self-bias when I'm making business decisions. That's the best I can do. I have to work with the tools I was born with! I think I'm pretty good at it though seeing as Pedo is still here :P

I believe it will take an irrationally confident person to make huge change. Whenver I meet someone who I'm forced to have a conversation with, I always ask them their dreams, and noone has any. I believe the reason is fear. They are skeptical that they can accomplish their dreams. Perhaps they believe that they are nothing special in the world. Perhaps they give in to their animal instincts, and decide to spend their money on a nice car in order to get a mating partner instead of investing it in their ideas.

Either way, so few people follow their dreams, and so if being a narccist allows me to do that, than perhaps it's not such a negative quality.

It all comes down to a balance I believe. We are, as a race, subjected to constant negativity about anything that the powers that be , deem to be antisocial or inappropriate. This does not sit well with the more "anti-social" of us.

A degree of narcissism has its place, as does a little humility now and then (however that may be portrayed lol).

I disagree with you about dreams...many people I know have dreams...perhaps not what Id term 'normal" ones ..but dreams never the less.

Socio's seem to be more adept than most in maintaining a certain "drive" to achieve their dreams...and goals. This can sometimes be mistaken for irrational confidence, but in fact its a mix of confidence, bluff and the astute expriences of human nature.

And as much as it irritates you, your youth dictates certain aspects of your thought processes. This is not a bad thing!

Life is a journey, and by running straight to the end goal, one bypasses much that is of value. Frustration is your enemy..as others on here have pointed out, and THAT is what will trip you if you dont watch. 

and btw, you dont HAVE to use the tools you were born with. You can if you so choose, start on making a new set of tools, specifically for whatever path your life takes. THAT...is half the fun!

I think if you try to remove self-bias from your business decisions, ultimately you will end up just as much of a waste of space as all the neo-classical economaniacs and finance chasers. You're describing the basis for modern business, first outlined in von Neumann's Game Theory book and then embraced by people like Milton Friedman etc, and ultimately all the "great" business schools.

If you have dreams, incorporate them always into your business decisions, and don't listen to all the noise generated by people caught up in the rat race. At your age I was really into Nietzsche, and thankfully he pulled me away from a comfortable career as a surgeon, and onto a path none of my peers followed. But I'm effecting meaningful change (I hope) by living out my dreams, and since you seem intelligent and motivated I hope you do the same.
