Is it okay to be fond of dead things?

Damaged, its not really an implication. The topic is an intriguing one (for some), and I simply thought Id see what kind of response a bunch of dead lemurs engendered in people. Empaths throw their hands up in horror .....and non empaths simply seem to think , meh, dead lemurs...and move on.

@ The Lemur Whisperer ....those particular ones cant hear you!

I took it as you expressing your dislike for him.

I looked at it and thought 'meh' and wondered if you were going for something that I missed.

Ive never been able to completely understand why people get so uptight when dealing with corpses (of any kind). I recently saw where someone had shot a feral cat, which had been slaughtering their chickens.

The guy skinned it, and sold the skin online, and the shitstorm was astronomical!. To me, it was dead , and there was no more relevance to the ideology of a "pet cat" as there was to a useful floormat or hat lining. It was dead when skinned .....and dispatched humanely.

Personally I love skulls, I have heaps of them in my house, of animals and birds. I love the symmetry, and the look. Also love skins, and pelts, and teeth and claws and such. The only difference I can see is that whereas its me that enjoys them now, it was their original owners that enjoyed them and their use before. Is it ok to be fond of dead things? ...I say yes.

Im not overly fond of the lemur (goddam his little stripey self) , but your emotive response went straight to conflict, rather than the fact that I may have been merely responding to this topic, which again brings me back to my point about empaths placing invalid values apon corpses.

And also, the photo was taken from a site showing how lemurs are killed and eaten in certain societies. To them it would be no different than chewing a big mac ...or as in china ...scoffing a dog or two.

And yes, Id still roast the little bastid with a wee crabapple in his mouth.

Actually, I didn't take much notice and just kind of thought they were some dogs until I saw Alterego's comment asking if they were lemurs. And as the lemur's advocate I felt it was my duty to step in. I figured it was an empty threat aimed at him specifically.

Don't eat monkey brains unless you are enticed by the prospect of contracting a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy like Kuru, which will eat holes in your cerebral cortex until you develop tremors, dysphagia, pervasive ulcerations, only to become incontinent, and finally croak. Mmmmmm. :)
