Ever heard of a karambit?
Nasty little things...
I would say that is smart thinking... although I enjoy working with a particular double bladed stiletto the most. It was the first knife I learned to fight with. Kinda like a first kiss maybe? I don't know. But the karambit is so versitle it's sick... you're getting me a little excited here.
Knives in general are simply too easy to disarm IMO, that's one of the karambits greatest advantages. Where as with a knife a simple strike to the forearm in a lot of cases can cause the knife to release. Even if the hand opens with the karambit it is still looped around a finger... for that reason the karambit is much more of an extension of the body than a regular knife, and while the knife can slash and stab the karambit can slash, stab, be used to aid in arm locks, and act similarly to brass knuckles...
