I find our universe to be beautiful, even in chaos. It might be very deadly, and we could die at any moment, but I still see it as intriguing and interesting, and I love science because it's like an adventure of discovery. It can be hard and cruel, but that's part of the journey.
I wouldn't call more censorship and more control like an Orwellian nightmare necessarily good for society, but I would consider Transhumanism to be great, under a socialist society.
I believe in a strong united humanity to go forth and conquer the stars. We are the custodians of our meaning, we are sentient, and we have the power to explore and learn, and evolve.
I would love another renaissance of humanity where more of the older traditions and constructs like religion could be phased out and replaced with science. Of course, I consider such a thing to be hard to do and could only be done gradually, not overnight.

I do lol. stop trying to overcomplicate simple concepts just accept them for what they are. I believe what makes me feel good and I have a right to do that
I can be altruistic and I can be selfish just as anyone is. I am not in a position of leadership or mentally well enough to contribute much to society so that gives me even more freedom to believe anything I want. plenty of spiritual people do contribute just as much as anyone else to society though, and others help society emotionally which is really needed with depression and anxiety being so high lately
people should believe what keeps them "sane"(enough to function in beneficial ways to the community) and happy as long as they are still contributing what they have the most aptitude for being successful at to society
some people arent able to be successful at anything and cant contribute in beneficial ways to society, or at most very little. those people should be either taken care of in shelters or mental health institutions or by family (or prison if they are too destructive/a threat to others, rehabilitative prison) or euthanized humanely. who should be euthanized im not sure yet. maybe all, maybe only the non rehabilitative prisoners and those in a lot of mental/physical suffering or vegetative states

A lot of faith followers follow such things complicatedly, and I'd figure to give it that extra amount of umph, of depth, is what shows how true that devotion really is. This is like comparing a Christian who knows The Bible versus doesn't, the one who knows the source material isn't "overcomplicating simple concepts" as some sort of denial.
I believe what makes me feel good and I have a right to do that
And I have the right to call it misguided, question it, and attempt to see what else is behind it.

It doesn't mean that you need to divorce your sense of reason to cope with existence.

So let me get this straight...
People should be allowed to believe what keeps them sane as long as they are contributing towards society, and you are not in a mentally well enough position to contribute?
Doesn't this mean, by your words, that you've forfeited the right to believe in nonsense?
you can believe what you want to be true, without feeling the need to prove it. this concept seems to drive you crazy lol but for me its not an issue at all. im fine with not knowing if NDEs are accurate to what happens after death, or if there is only oblivion waiting

nope, I just said since I cant, and im being taken care of instead of euthanized, i can believe anything since I'm already not capable of being sane enough to function and contribute to society regardless of what I believe

bump
I reason just fine in order to do what I am capable of as far as functioning, what I believe outside of that doesnt influence me to be any more or less functional though and I know this to be true because I've tried out many different belief systems:) so at this point yeah i should be able to choose whatever the fuck I want to believe no matter if it is deemed unrealistic by atheists, or the religious
