I am for lack of better term "short-circuting" at the moment, I have grown fond of it because of TC using it to apply to me. Plus my name translates to Synthetic anyway. I enjoy this theme but regardless.
I can feel my anti-theist tendencies, which dear Alice has critiqued me on because I don't understand Science enough, it's just the zealotry of me wanting a brighter path for mankind. It makes me feel like I'm in a 30k Imperium destroying Religion. Too bad in 40k, we became what we sought to destroy, Tis a shame, my Emperor, tis a shame. Ignore that rambling, it just came to mind.
Religion is obsolete, it is merely a tool of control to secure those who are afraid of the universe, and afraid that there may be no meaning, no inherent reason to why we exist. It shouldn't be so god damn scary. If anything, it is LIBERATING.

Even though religion doesnt work for me and I resent it for dampening the beauty of the cosmos with its overly simple explanations for the innerworkings of the universe, i still understand the importance of religion. In the US, our judeo-christian values are the foundations for our similarities. Its a crucial part of our national identity. Its astonishing that 90% of americans celebrate Christmas even though 47% celebrate it unreligiously. Its clear this is because the all-inclusive values of unity and acceptance strike a chord with Americans and keep us together as one, with unity and justice for all.
religion is not so bad, it just has limited use in a modern age
