stunning find,... I love looking for the hidden gems. my mom is better at finding the ones that are true hidden gems, because they're extremely good deals. she once found a lot/mansion that was 800,000- which should of easily been worth over 3 million if not more. the reasoning was, it was old so electrical, plumbing, foundation shifting problems (crack in the ceiling, slanted stair case) so it was going to be a bit of work- and, it wasn't anywhere close to a central city.

^the lot my parents almost bought.

[I told them, buy it. this is a good fucking deal. but they were worried about the crime in Leesburg so they decided not to for that reason, also my grandfather died when they offered us the 800k deal, and my mom wanted them to come down and they refused and so she was just not in a good mental place to say yes to anything at that time and she was mad they wouldn't come down at least 20k because of the lighting/plumbing/foundation issues it had. and then yeah, she was focused on the fact her dad literally just died and funeral arrangements and shit so, she just never responded to the offer and let it go... :( I didn't want to press the issue because it wasn't a good time but financially this is the best deal I've ever seen in the history of deals. we went and looked that house like three times in and out, talked with the family who owned it extensively and really got to know each other and the ins and outs of everything about the house. it was like we already lived there is how I felt. so I was super disappointed that it didn't happen. it was a beautiful property... ]

but that's exactly what I liked about it. we found this house in rural Florida, which- I've discovered is not a horrible place to look at cheap land- absolutely stunning beautiful land (what I dream of wanting aesthetically) and it's a really great price simply because it's not close to all the bull shit. Leesburg. I had no idea it had such beauty to offer. It looks like rural California out there, you know where it's nothing but hills and tall grass that is the color of wheat? and then a random tree or two like sparse- very sunny, long winding roads. Ugh, so beautiful. The hills are just wide open rolling hills as far as the eye can see, it's expansive and endless. The properities are massive and the land they're on is at least one acre usually multiple.

but I'm like, that's exactly what I want. I want, no bull shit.

there are so many beautiful places like that though around the planet honestly that I've found, another personal favorite of mine is in Ocean springs Mississippi.

Belle Fontaine Dr, Fontainebleau, MS- absolutely stunning, and there are lots of little pockets like this on the water, stunning open acres of land, tall green grass or wheat looking grass, water- nothing but water. Sandy beach that is rustic and people free- noise free. "city" free.

And it's just, the most *gorgeous* sunsets I've ever seen, a lot of the houses are built so that the water actually comes up *to* the house itself, I have a photo of it on my instagram, I've stayed in quite a few houses along this drive for short vacations here and there. It's extremely relaxing.

The only downside is that there is *nothing* out here. Nothing. The reason being- this land gets absolutely *pummeled* by hurricanes to the point that there is nothing left of the houses built on this drive- but the stair case. I have photos of it. Or most of the time, just the foundation. I kid you not, it's nothing but just a lonely stair case standing, in mid air, leading to nothing. And it's water rotten of course.

So yeah the water comes up so high and the wind is so strong it's lethal and just absolutely obliterates the entire coast.

So you have to, plan for that sort of thing. Essentially, you have to understand your house will, not might, but definitely will blow away regularly. Completely, away. LOL

But it's so beautiful and untouched for this reason, and god I just love it. Most vacations I find stressful, but this is the one place I think of in my mind as just genuinely peaceful, relaxing and just, it's everything to me. I've never felt true relaxation until I stayed on Belle Fountaine Drive. It's, so great.

And I've been a lot of places. So I'm not just talking this up for no reason, this is truly serene.

There is also a super cool artist commune built on Belle Fountaine, where artists come and work on shit, whether it's paintings or books, whatever they do. Kind of like a hotel for just artists, to come practice, train, finish a project. And they look out on the water or the garden and they paint all day and talk about the world and shit. It's pretty fucking cool. Lots of cool sculptures and shit in the yard and what not.

Most people stay for anywhere from like a month or two, to like 6 months. Write a book. Paint. Whatever.

Because the area is just so pure and breath taking (but completely quiet and people free) so it's a haven for artists and writers for sure.
