Is encouraging your kitten to bite and scratch you right or wrong

if I dont mind it, is it psychologically good for her to let her playfight with me and think of me like another cat? because with cats sometimes they cuddle together and sometimes they play fight

I dont want her to bite or scratch other people though just me lol but it feels good when she mildly scratches and bites me. she like will switch from that to falling asleep on me or cuddling soon after but she has been getting a little fiesty the past couple days and idk if its because she is bored from not having another kitten to play with or what but the other people I live with wont let me get another kitten

and I know I could just not let her bite or scratch me its very easy but I like the way it feels?

what is the opinion from the cat people here on this

I could easily just play with her toys with her instead but the point is I like the way it feels and I think its like a form of bonding for cats to play fight with each other

I can't decide if I should or shouldn't let her keep doing it, my biggest concern right now is I don't want her biting or scratching anyone else, but when she does it she does it lightly not enough to leave scratch marks or anything visible

I pretty much just  answered my own question, if she starts biting or scratching anyone else I have to stop letting her do it to me I decided, because not many people like it but some people dont mind like me

when she gets bigger the bites and scratches will be painful lmao, doing things like letting her hang onto your arm in midair will no longer be adorable

i usually try to get her to swipe me and move my hand really quick, when she gets me there is blood

From my experience with cats, allowing for scratching and biting in the form of playing isn't bad as long as you clearly telegraph when they're going too hard. They'll adjust towards you if you're a part of what they're doing, and my allowing it has had even a terribly hard biter/scratcher find self-control and composure. We nudge heads now and he's wicked affectionate from having been reasonably uninhibited.

It's not quite the same as letting a dog do whatever they want.

How social is your cat with strangers?

Very, she likes chilling on peoples laps and hates being alone. she always wants someone to at the very least be watching her and paying attention lol and will meow if they arent and if anyone is sitting down she will usually want to sit on them

I'd say try to curb the behavior while another person is there, if they're that understanding of a person? It'd likely help with the established division of boundaries between "specific humans" instead of just "humans".

How hard does she scratch/bite?
