You've seen what antipsychotics do to people? My experience is that around 20% to 30% have serious problems, and maybe another 10% have minor problems like sexual dysfunction. (My thinking is that sex matters less than being housed and/or not murdering people, if there must be a tradeoff.)

I've also seen many people who were a world of better when they took their meds.

Have you ever even tried to medicate your schizo whatever? One to three months is usually enough time to tell if they'll make you worse or better. And 3 months is also a short enough time span that coming off them won't be hell if they do make you feel worse.

This is the second time you've tried to say that women can't be tall (just under 6ft isn't that tall either). Both sides of my family feature tall people, and among them I'm one of the shorter ones. 

I know a lot about mental illness, btw. Two of my electives in uni were in psych, and again... I was homeless. I met many, many people who were mentally ill when I stayed in shelters and slept in parks.

I know how their disorders made them behave, and they often shared info about at least some of what their doctors prescribed. I could often tell when they were off their meds, and when it was time to help them get to the clinic for more. I also spent several years studying various types of mental illness, and cycles of addiction to add as much realism as possible to the character arcs in my story. 

You really ought to look into the dark side of medications before you start recommending them to people.

The best I've seen of it's been from people doing super low doses to moderately adjust their behaviors, but the problems often far exceed the benefits, especially when given time.

With most anti-drugs, as you adjust to the dosage your body will adapt to what you're taking. What can look like promising results at the start (if you ignore the debilitating symptoms) can instead show worse behaviors than ever should they try to quit. With tolerance even staying on that drug may not be enough down the line. 

The schizo-spectrum itself can't be cured yet, just moderated, and the ways they have of doing so within the Big Pharma schematic don't look promising at all.

Schizo-spectrum disorders tend to surface between the 18 to 25 range, and for me it really spiked around 19. The desire to become a woman meanwhile has been an idea that's stuck with me since I was a kid.

2) The hormones are likely to cause reactions with his schizo disorder and he should try treating that first.
