Not bad, actually. You got the mood, if not the look.

Of course I did.

People told me I looked like Debbie Harry looked in the 80s if that helps.

I'm good, I already have the picture in my head wink wink.

I don't look like her anymore. Not since about 2015.

This?

Italians always dress so well.. Debbie's American though. You were part of that wave of immigration from Italy to the US right?

Not sure if I look like anybody, now  ~ shrugs ~

I never cared too much about celebrities. What people need is heart. Looks is cheap but it takes effort to climb up and not become a total douche.

Yeah, this  :)

No, I'm not Italian. I had lots of Italian friends when I lived in Toronto, tho.

I lived near Eglinton and Oakwood before the Italians all moved up to Woodbridge.

Hold on, you're NOT Italian?!?!?! Man, I'm shocked and astounded. It feels like reality is finding its way out from the depths of my tranquil and luxurious trance.

The reason I say you're Italian is because you have a distinctly Italian demeanor.

I kept thinking... Wow her English is so great for an Italian. Must be because she moved to the US when she was a kid.

But seriously, though, you're really Italian, right? You even translated coolio. You must be Italian. No way around it. Italians are always so warm and well-dressed.. But why's your English so good? You grew up in the US right? Ah, Eglinton... Yeah there were a lot of Italians in Eglinton who moved from Italy. That makes sense now, you moved there when you were a child. Must've been lonely, with all those foreigners around, cara mia.

Eh.. On another note, it must be great to be near-native speaker in English.. I always need to improvise and find ways to express myself better and fix my grammar just because my native tongue is useless. But oh well, at least I have a sexy Ukrainian accent I'm infinitely proud of

Ps. The movie's alright. She's quite the character.

Huh? I grew up in Canada. It's not too different up here, I guess.

We're nicer than Americans and we don't wave our guns around like they do.

Free healthcare, better student loans and better programs for the less employable.

Stricter quality standards on food, so the cheap stuff is less toxic for people. And our farmers don't abuse our food animals the way some American factory farms do.

We pay a lot more tax, tho.

Other than that, the way most Canadians go about their everyday lives is similar enough to Americans in the Great Lakes states and the Midwest.

I know plenty Canadians. Canadians are on average way more polite than Italians. Italians poke at people the way you do.
