When you said I had ODD what is that

did you mean OCD? Lol

and yes I have extreme nervousness and anxiety 24/7 to the point I can’t function or even survive like that

like without meds I am in a constant state of panic, literally. A panic attack that never ends, that is the state of my consciousness.
it’s like a corrupted hard drive you know?

#ptsd

but anyways yeah I have to take meds for it so I don’t lose my mind and try to kill myself during a dissociative/depressive episode or just from being unable to handle the anxiety anymore.

It’s hell.

so yes you’re right, I have extreme nervousness.

Meant ODD, it's something that manifests mostly in children. The section where it talked about refusal to draw a tree was only concerned with child patients.

Symptoms:

Being unusually angry and irritable
Frequently losing their temper
Being easily annoyed
Arguing with authority figures
Refusing to follow rules
Deliberately annoying people
Blaming others for mistakes
Being vindictive

But other than that, yeah. The drawing style you had does indeed suggest lots of anxiety, compulsion, nervousness etc...

 That's a pretty solid tree!

For drawing style, it's generally self assured. Single stroke lines for the trunk and roots, can see some doubled up ones on the branches suggesting some slight anxiety in expressing yourself, but confident and decisive otherwise.

There is a lot of carefully drawn detail, so this suggests a meticulous personality. It also suggests being perceptive.

For the parts that aren't the tree, can interpret the left side of the page as more related to the past and passivity and the right side as related to the future/active things. So, the city would be a conflict, something you want to get away from, the mountains a need, something you want. This is suggested by the direction of the plane as well. Perhaps you want to get away from people? The distance between the tree and the city suggests that as well.

There is a soil line, and the tree seems to be quite stably rooted, so you're a pragmatic person.

It's placed slightly to the left so more nostalgic/observant.

The tree is large, so high self-esteem.

The trunk is solid and straight, so pretty confident.

The branches link smoothly to the trunk, so your expression is authentic, you tend to be genuine. The way the branch that's arched downwards and has a different branch go upwards from it is drawn, suggest bravery/impertinence.

The ends of the branches are sharp, this suggest aggression. Furthermore, the thin spikes coming from them are an indicator of sadistic tendencies.

The lines making up the contour of the branches are thick, suggesting a tendency to keep people away.

Edit: The black clouds and snow might relate to circumstances outside of your control. A burden?

This is all I could gather. Accurate, inaccurate?

Generally seems accurate. But I would say that in the past I was indeed more passive then I want to be in the future, but I do not want to distance myself from people, I want to do the opposite. And I want to be in a city.
The tree is far from a city because I don't want my trees in cities, trees are not part of the environment I like.

The black clouds, the black and white aesthetic, the winter, the snow, the mist, the airplane and its cloud all are to create a gloomy, dark and modern picture. Not because of depression or things outside of my control, but because this is the world and I like it this way: hard. cold and dark. And I like it that way, makes you stronger and the meek are culled.

Cheery bye!

This is a perfect representation of a tree in my yard

I wanted to put in wide far-stretching roots like a willow has but it wouldn't be accurate

ri-el_collective's tree ^ since it wouldn't load in the post.

This is a nice tree made from tons of lines.

For the drawing style: As I've said before, it's made up of many lines. This generally shows both nervousness/compulsion and self-doubt. The lines here are drawn in a more furious fashion. They indicate a deal of aggressivity and compulsion.

The soil line looks slightly like a hill. Trees drawn on a hill show feelings of grandeur and superiority, so perhaps we have a slight tendency for this. It exists, but it's not as definite as it could be, so a generally pragmatic person that has some dreamer tendencies( What this means is that it's someone with a generally good grasp of pragmatic facts, that sometimes lets themselves wonder about more unfeasible projects)

The roots are either slight, or hidden, it's definitely not a tree drawn as if it would have no roots, so there is a tendency to hide oneself/facts about them while doing this drawing.

The placement is dead centre, with a good balance between the trunk and the crown, there is not a lot of free space on the page, so it's someone with a very good opinion about themselves, a big ego.

The branches naturally go out of the tree, so the self's expression in the world is genuine. They are extremely spiky and aggressive. Those indicate clear hostility to the outside world, the branches even end in pointy arrows. Clear sadistic/suicidal tendencies. And the tendencies for sadism are way more profound, and more natural than it was the case for Good's tree. Good's sadistic tendencies would be more learned, those are more natural. Ever since childhood, or genetic, it's simply textbook sadistic tendencies.(All that was missing for it to look just like the sketch in the book titled "a sadist's tree" would be to have some coiling around each other.) But straight and pointy like this is extremely hostile as well, just a different brand.

Another textbook thing present in this tree is the way the branches go out of the trunk, like rays. This shows: sensibility, minimum effort, dispersed interests, lack of focus and insolence.

There's a hole in it. That's trauma. Around the half of this person's life something terrible happened to them.

That's all I could gather, accurate, inaccurate? Will do the next one sometimes later. @fots

I'm tempted to reverse-image search this because it's a really good drawing.

To start it off, if you're good at drawing, and draw the tree "as you've learnt to", it may not be an accurate expression of the self. It would probably have slight expressions of the self, but would generally be as if it's a photograph of the tree in your backyard.

I can't really tell anything about the strokes here.

Right off the bat, you chose to put the paper down on the wide-side. That's non-conformism. You go against the flow generally, whatever the flow might be.

While there is no soil-line, the tree seems well-grounded. So you're definitely more pragmatic. The roots you meant to draw are generally pointing towards being more pragmatic.

The trunk is pretty solid, the tree is large, so high self-esteem, the tree covers a lot of the page, a bigger ego as well.

The positioning of the tree is somewhat to the right, showing you're more focused on the future: making plans, and such. You do have that protruding branch on the left. Lower branches represent periods closer to childhood, this one would suggest you have a nostalgia of something from the past that's still sticking to you. Perhaps a time in your life that you liked a lot and you remember fondly, and you won't let go of (nice name for old time's sake).

The branches form a smooth extension of the tree, so your expression towards the outside world is genuine. The branches extend outside the page upwards, so you have high aspirations, higher than what your current condition permits, i guess. You also have sadistic tendencies due to the way they end, and the leaves being sharp.

You have leaves in the tree, this usually illustrates that you have something bringing joy to your life. A purpose? Loved ones? But for the sadism, they might just be extensions of that rather then this.

Accurate, inaccurate? (Might revisit this one and add more)

 Hahahaha you found me out

It's all accurate, the sadism the future orientedness, the pragmatism and self-esteem, but most importantly the romanticizing of past and past ideals.

But the one thing you missed was in my choice to depict an actual tree as accurately as possible: my realistic, blunt and often straightforward nature...I can be poetic but I prefer to write bland and scientifically.

Oh and one last thing: my avatar is Dream of The Endless, the king of the dreamland, the sandman...

  • The lines are definitely ocd. No way we can draw straight lines so we draw more to make it look better.
  • Spot on the aggression. Runs in the family. Where they are more quick in showing it, we keep or at least try to keep it hidden.
  • We do have feelings of superiority and they are not slight in the least. Also justified because we are surrounded by idiots.
  • We are realist and have failed to many times to entertain wishful thinking. But we do daydream.
  • All we can say about being sadistic are that we are not physically violent. Correct on the rest.
  • We have never suffered trauma and believe at this point that we probably never will. Bad things have happened to us however we didn't feel any particular way about it while it happened and afterwards. When we were younger, ou family members cried about something that happened but we laughed and thought they were faking it.
  • That is not a hole, it's a reminder to ourselves. And yes, we feel compelled to leave it everywhere. (tattooed and cut.)

So you are correct on most of these, our dear friend.
