Just failed a drug test, trying not to fail another, how do you actually drop weed for like a year.
For me it isn't addictive, probably because it freaks me out from time to time so its easy to pass on it and i sometimes do.
Once heard of buttermilk being an agent for cloaking THC, and also shaving your head bald is another method considering it's detectable with a hair sample from what i understand.

In general it's not beyond emotional attachment and having it feel like part of a routine.
As a stimulant (in spite of it's typically chill demeanor), it can be hard to drop the associations formed with it, but it's not like trying to quit cigarettes for example.

Seems like that'd make it worse, since it stores in our fat cells.

That test is more expensive to administer, so they usually just opt for your pee.
If they ask for hair, leave.

Long-term overuse of drugs or alcohol actually hijacks the brain and controls emotions, motivation, and mood. Over time, these drugs replace the normal flow of dopamine and without them, the abuser loses motivation, feels sad or depressed, and is unable to function normally, both physically and mentally. They actually need a fix to get through the day and they look forward to feeling good again.

you're not addicted to weed, you are addicted to dopamine
it's a long battle, good luck
You dont even have to do anythingto quit weed.
Literally, dont go to your dealer's house, dont buy weed, dont pack a bowl, dont bring it up to your mouth and dont inhale while holding a lighter over the weed. That's how you quit. You just dont do it.
I'm guessing the boredom is going to be the main issue. If so, you have to compensate with more activity in some other aspect of life. If you're competitive, something you can improve at is a good choice. Weightlifting or Chess, or an online dropshipping store if you're business-minded. Probably none of these, but pick something. That's my 2 cents.

Emotional and routine attachments are a thing. It's more about how conditioned the reward parts of the brain are towards the behaviors, as even willpower is merely a chemical thing.
Physical addiction is harder, but it can be a struggle for people to let go of stimulants (ie: sugar).
